As a family business, we’re always keen to minimise the impact we have on the world around us, to help preserve the planet for our own and other future generations.

Which is why we have an established environmental policy.

This includes obtaining 100% of our paper and board from responsible sources, recycling all waste paper and litho plates, favouring environmentally-conscious suppliers and products, and using energy-efficient LED lights and equipment at our premises.

We also love to work with customers who are on the same page.

100% sustainable

Recently, we began producing food packaging for a small start-up company that has totally nailed the whole sustainable approach.

Put simply, Satisfied Snacks turns healthy salad ingredients into healthy salad crisps. With some fabulous flavours such as beetroot and goat’s cheese and tangy tomato and feta. Clever.

But here’s the even cleverer bit, the whole process from production to packaging is super-green.

  • 100% renewable energy – a biomass boiler is used to dehydrate the crisps removing only water, and recovered cooking oil is used to make electricity for their site.
  • 100% plastic-free packaging – using infinitely recyclable metal cans which can be recycled time and time again.
  • 100% recycled and recyclable paper (which we supply) – for the adhesive-free labels (which we print) wrapped around the can and sewn to itself with biodegradable cotton thread.

Now that really is clever!

Innovative and inspiring

In our 40-year printing and packaging history we’ve seen a lot; but never anything like this. Satisfied Snacks is one of the most sustainably savvy companies we’ve worked with, and we’re very excited to be a part of such an innovative and inspiring business.

We may be living in testing times right now, but small start-ups like this are a testament to the resilience of the UK’s entrepreneurial spirit. And it’s a real pleasure to be invited along for the ride.
