It’s been a challenging year for everyone. But, like many other businesses, Stag Print has come out the other side and has exciting plans for the future.

As an established family company with a 40-year heritage, Stag Print is looking to expand further and is actively seeking to acquire another printing business.

Preferably in the south east and with printing and packaging capabilities similar to its own, key requirements include:

  • Sheet-fed print and finishing – litho or digital.
  • Commercial print or folding box board packaging.
  • One resilient revenue stream, even over the last few months, e.g. folding box board packaging, safety signage.
  • Management in place to aid a smooth and seamless transition.
  • Turnover between £250,000 to £1.5million.

Founded by his father Rajendra Patel, Sushil Patel has been managing director of Stag Print for seven years. In that time, he has modernised the business with the addition of new and improved printing and packaging machinery and technology, which in turn has increased customer base and reach.

Sushil explains: “While 2020 has brought many challenges, we remain positive and excited about the future and what 2021 will bring. Our strategy to acquire another printing business similar to our own has been thoroughly thought through and tested. From a logistical perspective, it makes sense to look locally. And we are open to a smaller company and their customer book or a bigger business with more capability than our own.”
